One of "four brothers; SEBASTIEN ANTOINE (1695 – 1754), JEAN BAPTISTE (1699 – 1759), RENE MICHEL-ANGE (1705 – 1764) and DOMENIQUE (sic). All four boys were born in Paris, the sons of SEBASTIEN (1655 – 1726), a native of Anvers. All had illustrious careers in theatrical and decorative painting, their works for the stage being exceedingly difficult to identify.
